FAVOURITE TRAVEL EXPERIENCE
There have been some exceptional moments like walking through the sun gate at Machu Picchu and seeing Angkor Wat at sunrise, but one of my favourite moments was actually travelling through rural Turkey where I encountered fabulous hospitality and truly unique local culture.
ABOUT ME
Originally from Wales, UK – my love for travel began when holidaying in my parent’s property on the island of Ibiza, Spain. This was long before the island had party island connotations it holds today!
Emigrating to Australia with my husband in 1980 we quickly made Australia home, settling in the bayside suburb of Black Rock where we have raised two daughters.
I have travelled extensively over the years, and have visited most of the major cities of the world. Island beach-style holidays were a favourite when the children were young, but now they are replaced by a love of the more natural landscapes and an activity based style of travel.
ON MY TRAVEL RADAR
I would love to swim with the jellyfish in Palau, experience the vistas of Lake Malawi, see the gorillas in Rwanda and attend a traditional burial on the Ganges.
