East Coast Tasmania: Claire
Where am I – exploring the beautiful Freycinet National Park, Tasmania.
You probably wouldn't think to head further south for the winter school holidays but that is exactly what we did! We spent 3 nights at Freycinet Lodge in this pristine part of Australia.
You definitely need a car to make the most of your time on the East Coast of Tasmania, with so many wineries and seafood spots to stop along the way. We enjoyed lunch at Devils Corner, dinner at The Bay Restaurant and if you love fresh seafood don't miss Freycinet Marine Farm.
I would highly recommend to pack a picnic and walk to Wineglass Bay. Take a stroll to Sleepy Bay Beach, try to spot a whale from Cape Tourville and for a remote beach walk Friendly Beaches.
Freycinet offers an unforgettable escape into nature. It's a perfect destination for those seeking a combination of adventure, tranquility, natural beauty and amazing seafood and wine. The kids enjoyed it too!
